Lemon Pudding Dessert

Cooking time is chilling time.
Ingredients:
1 cup cold butter or 1 cup margarine
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 (8 ounce) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
3 cups cold milk
2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages instant lemon pudding mix
Directions:
1. In a bowl, cut butter into the flour until crumbly.
2. Press into an ungreased 13 X 9 X 2 baking pan.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until set.
4. Cool on a wire rack.
5. In another mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
6. Fold in 1 cup whipped topping.
7. Spread over crust.
8. In a third bowl, beat milk and pudding mix on low speed for 2 minutes.
9. Carefully spread over cream cheese layer.
10. Top with remaining whipped topping.
11. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
