My MIL's recipe for her Italian lemon cookies. So good. This recipe can be easily doubled.
Ingredients:
4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup crisco
1 cup milk
1/2 lemon, juice and zest of
4 eggs
glaze
milk
icing sugar
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Beat eggs and sugar.
3. Add Crisco to mixture.
4. Add lemon juice, milk, flour and baking powder.
5. Shape batter into mini braids.
6. Bake at 375°F for 10-15 minutes, depending on oven.
