Creamy Lemon flavored whipped topping goes great on angel food cake or any other light cake...
Ingredients:
0.33 cup sugar
2 tbs butter
2 egg yolks
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp lemon zest
Directions:
1. Combine Sugar, butter, yolks and juice in a sauce pot and stir on medium low until it sticks to the back of your wooden spoon. Put in bowl and cover and chill for an hour.
2. Whip heavy whipping cream in another bowl until soft peaks form. Fold Lemon mixture into whipped cream. DO NOT WHIP! Spread lemon topper on Cake and chill until served.
3. Enjoy.
