Very yummy as a dessert for a sunday brunch
Ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon zest, grated
2 eggs
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions:
1. Cream together butter, sugar, lemon rind.
2. Add eggs and lemon juice.
3. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
4. Add flour mix alternately with milk to batter.
5. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
6. Let cool 5 minutes.
7. Prepare topping and pour over bread.
