Lemon-basil Cream Sauce 4 Pasta Or Fish

this is a great sauce for Pasta, Fish or Chicken.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup half-and-half
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or alternately 3 tbs pesto sauce
Directions:
1. MELT butter in a large skillet over medium-high
2. heat; add garlic, and saute 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Add half-and-half and chicken broth.
4. Bring to a boil, and cook 8 minutes or until reduced by half.
5. WHISK together lemon juice and cornstarch until smooth.
6. Whisk lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon pepper into butter
7. mixture, and cook, whisking constantly, 2 minutes or until thickened.
8. Remove from heat.
