Lemon And Lavender Oatmeal

How much more spring like can you get than the yellows and purples of lemon and lavender? They combine, here, to create a tangy, yet mellow, breakfast treat.
Ingredients:
1 cup steel cut oats
3 cups lemonade
1 cup water
2t crushed, dried lavender
about 1/2t salt
2t vanilla
2-3t honey(for desired sweetness)
lemon zest for garnish(optional)
Directions:
1. Combine oats, lemonade and water in medium, heavy saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil, the immediately reduce to a simmer and heat uncovered and unstirred for about 20-25 minutes.
3. Stir well and add lavender, vanilla, salt and honey and continue to cook 5-10 minutes more, until desired consistency. Taste and add more honey or lemon zest, if desired.
