Lazy Day Perogie Lasagna

A different take on Perogies
Ingredients:
lasagna noodles
mashed potatoes (2 cups)
shredded cheddar cheese (2 cups)
onion chopped (1 large)
1/2 lb bacon crumbled
cottage cheese (1 medium tub)
butter or margarine - 1 stick
Directions:
1. Cook Lasagna Noodles
2. Cook mashed potatoes
3. Sautee onion in a small amount of butter
4. Cook and crumble bacon
5. Melt remaining butter
6. Layer 3 lasagna noodles in bottom of 9x13 dish
7. Place all of mashed potato mixture on top, pour half of the butter , sprinkle half of the cheese and half the bacon crumble , onions
8. 3 more noodles layered
9. Pour over cottage cheese
10. Layer 3 more noodles, cheddar cheese and bacon crumble and remaining onion
11. Finish by pouring remaining butter over top of dish
12. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until bubbling hot
13. Serve warm topped with sour cream, salt and pepper
