Lanell's Toll House Cookie Brittle

This is a crispy delight.
Ingredients:
1 cup margarine
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, finely chopped
Directions:
1. Combine first three ingredients and blend well. Gradually add sugar and flour. Add chocolate chips and 3/4 cup of the nuts.
2. Press evenly into lightly greased 15 X 10 inch pan. Sprinkle with remaining nuts and press lightly.
3. Bake at 375 degrees on top rack for 10 minutes. Turn off oven and leave in for a remaining 30 minutes.
