Lady's Chocolate Cake

This is a cake my grandmother, Lee Strength, made for me every time I'd visit.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine (softened)
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 cup self-rising flour
1 (16 ounce) can hersheys chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Mix well first 6 ingredients.
2. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 20-30 minutes.
3. Icing:.
4. Bring to boil 1 cup sugar, 1 stick margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Boil 1 minute. Add chocolate chips and pecans and pour over warm cake.
