Another Kraft Cheesecake from the 1974 Season... Please enjoy!!!
Ingredients:
1 cup chocolate wafers crumbs
3 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons sugar
3 8 oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 chopped pecans
1/2 cup flaked coconut
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Combine crumbs, 3 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons sugar; press onton bottom of a 9 inch springform pan.
3. Bake at 325 for 10 minutes.
4. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, cocoa and vanilla, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended.
5. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
6. Pour mixture over crust.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
8. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan; chill.
9. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat.
10. Blend in milk, brown sugar, 1 beaten egg and 1/2 vanilla.
11. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
12. Stir in nuts and coconut; cool.
13. Spread over cheese cake.
