Korean Fried Chicken

My new favorite...Korean...love almost everything I have tried and this tops the list
Ingredients:
8 chicken thighs, chopped into two
1 onion, grated (use largest hole on the grater)
2 cloves garlic, minced and crushed into a paste
1 tsp ginger powder
for the batter
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 cup chilled water
for the sauce
1/2 cup korean chile paste (gojuchang)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup ketchup
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup toasted white sesame seeds
2 to 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Directions:
1. Combine the grated onion, garlic, ginger powder, salt, and pepper in bowl. Add the chicken and coat well. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside to marinate at room temperature for at least an hour.
2. Mix all ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
3. Mix all ingredients for the batter together. Set aside
4. Heat oil in a deep dish. Drain excess marinade from chicken and fry them in batches of 6. Drain on paper towels.
5. Reheat oil. Refry the fried chicken till crisp. Drain once more on the paper towels.
6. Coat the chicken in the sauce and serve hot!!!!
