This is a wonderful recipe for barbecued chicken! You can broil this in your oven as well. The sweet and flavorful marinade is just delicious! Be warned that the fragrance of the cooking chicken might entice some hungry neighbors to drop by unexpectantly! Read more ! (My neighbors love this recipe!)
Ingredients:
5 pounds of chicken thighs and wings (or legs) with the skin
8 tb salad or vegetable oil
4 tb sugar
4 tb sesame seeds
1 1/3 cup of green scallions, chopped finely
1/2 cup regular soy sauce
1/2 cup of water
1 tsp. black pepper
Directions:
1. Place the chicken in a large ziplock baggie.
2. Combine the rest of the ingredents in a bowl and pour over the chicken in the bag.
3. Seal bag and marinate overnight.
4. Broil or barbecue the chicken until fully cooked.
5. ( I like to sprinkle the chicken with scallions and sesame seeds before serving.)
6. Serve with cooked rice and a nice green salad.
