lovely with the kofta tomato sauce or in a pitta with natural yoghurt and mango pickle. Also can be barbequed, just make into sausage shapes instead of balls.
Ingredients:
5 oz (141.75g) soya mince
1/2 pint boiling water, (to rehydrate the soya mince)
0.18 oz (5g) bouillon - swiss vegetable, powder
3 tablespoon gram flour
1 1/2 teaspoon ginger, fresh finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 medium egg
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 medium onion, finely chopped
Directions:
1. Rehydrate the soya mince with the 1/2 pint vegetable stock, allow liquid to absorb, about 15 minutes. Now put all ingredients in a large bowl and mix ingredients together well. In batches place in a food processer and blend mixture smooth, now place all the mixture back in the large bowl and with wet cold hands make 20 balls with the mix and place on a greased or non stick baking sheet and cook in the oven gas mark 6 for 20-30 minutes, or until firm to touch and golden brown.
