Kentucky Pecan Pie

Another one of my grandmothers Mimi recipes.
Ingredients:
1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup pecans, heaping
1 unbaked pie shell
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except for the nuts.
2. Pour into the pie shell and sprinkle the nuts on top.
3. Bake for 45 minutes in a 350 degree farenheit oven.
