Ken's Fried Potatoes

A great and easy recipe. Also, your potatoes won't turn dark like other recipes. Tastes good too! Also, try my homemade mumbo sauce for great dipping.
Ingredients:
2 -3 russet potatoes
1 quart whole milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
3 egg whites
vegetable oil (for deep frying)
Directions:
1. Peel skin off potatoes. Clean potatoes.
2. Cut potatoes lengthwise into 1/2 inch or less.
3. Let potatoes soak in milk half hour or longer.
4. Meanwhile, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and pepper.
5. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until bubbly.
6. Dip potatoes into egg whites, then into flour mixture.
7. Deep fry a few potatoes at a time for 5-6 minutes.
8. Drain access grease from potatoes when done.
9. Serve hot.
