Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup domino granulated sugar
1 cup firmly packed domino brown sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp finely grated tangerine or orange rind
1 12-oz pkg white vanilla chips
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-2 tbsp domino granulated sugar
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
3. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
4. In a large mixing bowl beat butter and shortening with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds.
5. Add 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar and brown sugar.
6. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.
7. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined.
8. Beat in as much flour mixture as you can.
9. With a mixer, stir in remaining flour mixture and tangerine peel.
10. Stir in vanilla chips and chocolate chips.
11. Using a 1/4 cup, drops mounds of dough 4 inches apart on cookie sheets.
12. Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
13. Bake in a 325 degree F. oven for 15-17 minutes.
14. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes.
15. Transfer to wire racks and let cool.
