A friend shared this recipe with my family. It is a favorite! The perfect sweetness and texture for this simple poppyseed bread recipe. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/8 cup oil
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp. butter extract
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 tbsp. poppy seed
topping
1/2 tsp. vanill extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. butter extract
1/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup sugar
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, oil and eggs together.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients.
3. Mix for 3 minutes.
4. Makes 3 bread pans.
5. Grease and flour pans.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
7. While bread is baking mix together topping ingredients.
8. While warm pour topping over the loaves.
