Joan's pork chops

A great and easy way to make pork...the other white meat ;-)
Ingredients:
4 pork chops
1 tablespoon oil
1 minced clove garlic
2 tablespoons oil
4 tablespoons broth (chicken or beef)
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons water
Directions:
1. Heat oil in skillet.
2. Brown pork chops on both sides.
3. Remove and add a little more oil if needed.
4. Saute garlic for 1 minute.
5. In a small bowl mix, oil, broth, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
6. Put chops back in skillet.
7. Pour sauce over them.
8. Cover tightly.
9. Simmer over low heat for 30-35 minutes (add 1-2 T of water if needed and turn once).
10. Remove chops (keep warm).
11. Stir in cornstarch that was dissolved in the water.
12. Cook until thickened.
13. Serve a little sauce over the pork chops.
