Jewelled Wild Rice

This is a very colorful & unique side dish to serve for a special occasion.
Ingredients:
1 c wild rice blend
4 scallions, sliced
1 clove garlic, peeled & chopped
1/2 tsp thyme
1 t butter
1/2 c dried fruit bits
1/4 c sliced toasted pecans

Directions:
1. Prepare rice according to package directions. Set aside. In saucepan over medium heat, cook scallions, garlic & thyme in butter 5 min. Stir in rice and fruit; cook 5 min or until heated, stirring frequently. Sprinkle rice mixture with toasted pecans. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
