A recipe I found but have not tried yet. Just storing it on here for future reference. Jerked Jerky!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs lean beef chuck roast, sliced about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick and cut into strips
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
1. Combine marinade ingredients in a plastic zipper bag.
2. Add meat slices and mix thoroughly with marinade.
3. Marinate overnight.
4. Cover oven racks with aluminum foil.
5. Preheat to 170 degrees.
6. Place beef strips on foil.
7. Prop open oven door slightly with an oven mitt to allow humidity to escape. Cook jerky for about 4 and 4 1/2 hours .
