This is an adaptation of a recipe I found on a box of jambalaya mix. I love red beans and rice and this is very similar to that and doesn't take as long to prepare.
Ingredients:
1 box jambalaya red beans and rice mix
1 can kidney bean
1 onion, chopped
3 bratwursts
3 cups water
Directions:
1. Brown bratwurst and chopped onion.
2. Meanwhile add water to the jambalaya mix and set aside.
3. Add meat and beans.
4. Cook according to package directions.
5. Add cajun seasoning and/or cayenne pepper to taste.
