Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup mirin (a sweet japanese rice wine available in asian markets)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped gingerroot
  • 1/4 cup honey

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine mirin, water and bonito flakes, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and strain, discarding the solids. Chill liquid, (called a dashi broth)
  2. When dashi broth is thoroughly chilled, transfer it to a blender or food processor. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, olive oil, gingerroot, honey and carrot, and blend until fine-textured and creamy.
  3. Per 2 TBS: Calories 54; fats :3 grams (45% of calories);cholestrerol: 0; carbs: 6 grams;sugar: 5 grams;fiber :0 ; protein :1 gram; sodium: 343 milligrams
