Jamie's Macaroni Salad

Cool summer salad
Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package salad macaroni
1/2 onion
2 stalks celery
1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts
1 (6 ounce) can sliced black olives
1/2 cup cucumber, chips
6 ounces cheddar cheese (i like sharp)
1/2 cup mayonnaise (to taste)
2 tablespoons seafood cocktail sauce
shrimp (optional) or chicken (optional) or ham, to make a meal (optional)
Directions:
1. Boil water add macaroni; cook till just done. Drain and run cold water over macaroni.
2. Chop into small pieces the:onion, celery, water chestnuts, cucumber chips and drain olives. Cut cheddar cheese into little squares.
3. Add cooled drained macaroni to large bowl.
4. Add veggies and cheese.
5. Add mayo and chili sauce.
6. Mix well and more mayo if needed.
7. Salt & pepper.
8. Mix well and chill.
