Spicy Jambalaya with Shrimp, Chicken, Kielbasa and Ham
Ingredients:
1 cup brown rice
1 cup wild rice
2 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoon canola oil
1 lb kielbasa
2 cups ham
1 chicken breast
1 cup onion
3/4 cup celery
1/4 cup jalapeno
1/2 cup mushrooms
20 oz diced tomatoes
12 oz tomatoe sauce
1 tablespoon garlic
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 pound shrimp
Directions:
1. Make rice as directed using the chicken broth for your liquid. (I use Lundberg Wild Blend rice)
2. Saute vegetables in 1/2 oil & 1/2 butter
3. Fry any uncooked meat in 1/2 oil & 1/2 butter as needed
4. Add all ingedients except shrimp to crockpot
5. Heat thoroughly. About an hour on high.
6. Add shrimp before serving in time to heat them up or cook them.
