Simple breakfast/coffee cake.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup melted butter
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup favorite jam
3/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. lightly grease 9 round cake pan or bundt pan.
3. combine flour, salt,spices,baking powder.
4. in separate bowl, whisk milk, eggs, butter, vanilla.
5. whisk in dry ingredients.
6. pour into prepared pan, and dollop jam over the top.
7. swirl the jam into the top of batter lightly.
8. prepare crumb topping:.
9. whisk dry ingredients together, and then work in melted butter.
10. drop by clumpies all-over the top of batter.
11. bake 25-30 minutes, until sides start to pull from pan.
