Italian Spaghetti Sauce by Audrey M

Has a robust flavor! Will become a family favorite.
Ingredients:
1/2 lb bulk italian sausage
1/4 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can cut up tomatoes
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms (optional)
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning, crushed
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 dash salt
hot cooked pasta
Directions:
1. In a skillet cook sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic until meat is brown.
2. Drain off fat.
3. In a medium bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients and stir in cooked meat mixture.
4. Place in 4 quart crock pot and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
5. Discard bay leaf before serving.
6. Serve over your favorite pasta.
