1 1/2 tsp sumac powder
salt and pepper, to taste

optional additions: 1-15 oz can chickpeas, drained and rinsed, 1/2 cup coarsely chopped olives, 1 to 2 tbsp finely minced mint or dill. for a thicker, sesame-coated flavor, whisk in a couple tablespoons of tahini.
