Iron Kettle Lunch

This is a simple good and easy one dish meal.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons oleo
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion (diced)
2 cups canned tomatoes
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 (1 lb) package noodles (cooked by package directions)
1/4 lb mild cheese (grated)
Directions:
1. Melt butter in iron kettle, (may use a regular skillet). Add ground beef and cook until lightly browned.
2. Add onions and cook 5 minutes longer.
3. Add tomatoes, salt, cooked noodles and cheese; mix well.
4. (If using regular skillet, transfer to casserole dish) and set aside. If using iron skillet set iron skillet full of ingredients aside for 1 hour for blending of flavors.
5. Then bake at 350° for 1 hour.
