Irish Stew (Can Be Vegan)

To make vegan replace the chicken with seitan.
Ingredients:
250 g steak, diced
1/8 cup sunflower oil
1 cup onion, chopped
60 g parsnip, chunked
1/2 turnip, chunked
1 carrot, chunked
1 potato, chunked
2 1/4 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 tsp basil
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp rosemary
1/8 tsp thyme
1 tsp ginger, grated
3 1/2 tsp tapioca starch
3 1/2 tsp cold water
Directions:
1. Saute the onions (and chicken, if not vegan) for 5 minutes.
2. Add the root vegetables and saute for 5 more minutes.
3. Add water and seasoning and bring to a boil.
4. Simmer for 25 minutes, then add the seitan (if making vegan).
5. Stir together the tapioca and water to form a paste, then stir it into the simmering stew to thicken it.
6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
