INSIDE OUT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ritchie Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar |
3/4 cup packed brown sugar |
3/4 cup butter softened |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 eggs |
2-1/2 cups all purpose flour |
1/2 cup baking cocoa |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1-1/2 cups white chocolate chips |
1 cup finely chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350. 2. Beat sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl with electric mixer on medium. 3. Using a wooden spoon stir in the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. 4. Stir in chips and nuts then drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2” apart on ungreased sheets. 5. Bake 10 minutes then cool 2 minutes and remove from sheets and cool on wire racks. |
