INDIANA CREAMY PEACH PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Wadley Estate in Allen, Texas in 1990.
Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
4 cups sliced fresh peaches
1 cup granulated sugar
2-1/2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup butter
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Combine flour and salt then cut in butter and press into 9 pie plate.
3. Put peaches into a bowl and sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar and set aside.
4. In another bowl combine remaining sugar, flour, egg, salt and vanilla.
5. Fold in sour cream then stir mixture into peaches.
6. Pour into crust and bake 15 minutes then reduce heat to 350 and bake 20 minutes more.
7. Prepare topping by combining all ingredients until crumbly.
8. Sprinkle topping evenly on top then bake 10 minutes at 400.
