Indian Shrimp And Rice Pulao

I love to make this simple and tasty dish when i crave some shrimp with rice, Its very easy and quick to make.
Ingredients:
1 pound cleaned shrimp/ prawns
2 cups basmati rice
1 onion
1 tbs cumin seeds
2 bay leaves
4 cloves garlic
4 pieces of black cloves
1/4 tbs garam masala
1/4 tbs of tumeric
1/2 spoon saffron
1 spoon butter or ghee
salt to taste
Directions:
1. Cover the raw rice with water and let it sit for about 30 Mins
2. While your rice is soaking add the spoon of ghee / Butter in a non stick pot on medium heat .
3. when hot add your Cumin seeds and black Cloves, let it sputter a bit.
4. Do not let it burn! by adding the sliced onions and chopped garlic quickly and keep stirring until the onions are golden brown.
5. Then add your garam masala powder, Tumeric powder, salt, rice, saffron, bay leaves and shrimp to this mixture.
6. Put 1 cup of water, cover and simmer on low heat for about 20 mins until your rice is soft and flaky.
7. Enjoy plain, or serve as a side dish.
