Idiot-Proof Banana Bread

I think I've substituted nearly every ingredient in this one at some time or another and it's always edible. Great for when you have nothing in the house for breakfast tomorrow.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter (or margarine)
1 cup sugar (less if brown, or non-calorie sweetener to equal same sweetness)
2 eggs (or egg substitute)
1 lb banana (measured with skins on, about 3 large or 4 small)
1 1/2 cups flour (cook longer if using whole wheat)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
1. mash bananas with a potato masher, don't use a blender, it gets too runny. add everything else and mix well.
2. pour into a greased loaf pan (you could probably use muffins tins and bake for less time, haven't tried).
3. bake at 350f for about an hour or until knife inserted comes out clean, remember it will firm up a little while cooling.
