Ice Cream Great Grandma Kehlers Way

My Mother would make this for her and myself once in a while when we were having a Mother Daughter day. I know its simple, but I am putting it out here for the memory of it all.
Ingredients:
cantaloupe
ice cream, your favorite flavor
toppings, again your favs
Directions:
1. I remember that the cantaloupe was always warm, so we must have just picked it out of our garden.
2. Wash the cataloupe very well as it's shell will be your bowl.
3. DO NOT PEEL!!!
4. Cut the cantaloupe in half, clean out hte seeds and membranes.
5. Place each half in its own bowl if you like. We just held them as they were all natural.
6. Using an ice cream scoop so it will be pretty, scoop out a big scoop of ice cream and place it in the bowl of the cantaloupe .
7. Top with toppings of choice.
8. Enjoy!
9. This was great on a hot summer day after a lot of Farm-girl type work in the garden and such.
