This recipe came to me Via the Ellis Island Immigrant cookbook. it originates from Belgium
Ingredients:
2 lbs pork loin
1 cup leek
2 cups celery
1 onion
salt
pepper
3 lbs potatoes
1 cup carrot
1 cup turnip
1 small savoy cabbage
2 quarts water
Directions:
1. brown meat.
2. add to large pot with water.
3. cut veggies unto chunks and add to pot.
4. bring to a boil then reduce heat and let simmer 1 hour.
