This is one of my top requested recipes from my family. It's my son-in-law's favorite meal. I serve it with corn and garlic bread. The original recipe called for 10oz of the noodles, but I found that to be way too much pasta for the sauce.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups sour cream
3 green onions, chopped
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1 dash worcestershire sauce
6 ounces elbow macaroni
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Start water to boil for noodles and cook according to pkg. directions.
2. In bowl; mix cream cheese, sour cream and onions; set aside. Brown meat and drain. Add tomato sauce, sugar, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce to beef. Stir noodles into beef mixture. Spoon beef and noodles into casserole dish and top with sour cream mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 350 until heated through, approximately 20 minutes.
