A no-sour cream version
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs stewing beef
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
3/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons hungarian paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1 dash red cayenne pepper
1 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup water
hot cooked noodles
Directions:
1. Brown the beef in a small amount of oil. Stir in next 9 ingredients. Simmer, covered 2-2 1/2 hours, or until meat is tender. Blend in flour and remaining 1/4 cup water and stir into sauce. Cook until thickened.
