This recipe originally hails from a 1977 cookbook called Amish Cooking .
Ingredients:
1 lb ground veal
1 cup breadcrumbs or 1 cup cracker crumb
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon butter
salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together.
2. Form the mixture into a long, free-form loaf.
3. Bake at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours.
