Hot Itaalian Sausage Soup

Loaded with zesty sausage and an array of vegetables.
Ingredients:
1 lb bulk hot italian sausage
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can italian stewed tomatoes
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 cup frozen italian vegetables
3/4 cup bell pepper, julienned
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chicken broth or 1/4 cup white wine
1 teaspoon brown sugar
fresh parsley (minced)
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink.
2. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
4. Drain sausage, add to soup, and heat through.
