Hot Fruit Compote

Double it for birthday brunch
Ingredients:
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice, drained
1 (16 ounce) can pears, slices drained
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 (16 ounce) can peach slices, drained
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon clove
1 (8 ounce) can dark cherries, drained
Directions:
1. Heat the oven to 375.
2. Arrange all fruit, except the cherries in a 13 x 9 inch baking dish or 1 1/2 quart casserole.
3. In a small saucepan, over medumh eat, combine all remaining ingredients except cherries. Heat and stir until brown sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted.
4. Pour over fruit.
5. Add cherries.
6. Bake for 25 minutes or until fruit is thoroughly heated.
7. Serve warm.
