Hot Cheddar Beef Submarine Sandwiches

Ingredients:
4 submarine sandwich buns
1 lb ground beef
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 -3 garlic cloves, minced
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon oregano
4 slices american cheese
Directions:
1. Cut a thin slice off the top of each submarine bun; set top aside.
2. Hollow out bottom of bun, leaving a 1/2 inch shell; reserve 1/2 cup of bread.
3. In a skillet, cook beef, green pepper, onion, and garlic until meat is browned; drain.
4. Stir in soup, Worcestershire, reserved bread, and oregano; mixing well.
5. Spoon mixture into buns; top each with a slice of cheese.
6. Replace tops.
7. Place sandwiches on an ungreased baking sheet.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted.
