Hot Beef Dip

My take on beef dip - with sort of a Mexican flair.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground chuck
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1/2-3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
sliced ripe olives (optional)
Directions:
1. Brown beef with the next three ingredients. Drain well.
2. Add next 4 ingredients and combine. Stir in the refried beans.
3. Heat, stirring frequently until hot.
4. Top with the cheese and olives (if using).
5. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
