Hoot N Holler Whiskey Cake

This cake,along with the recipe,was given to my mother by one of her friends one Christmas. Because of the alcohol in it,she called it Grown Folk's Cake and would not let me taste it.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter-softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup bourbon whiskey-or to taste
3/4 pound raisins
2 cups chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees
2. Grease two 9 x 5 loaf pans. Set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl,cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs one at a time,beating well after each addition.
5. Sift together next four ingredients and add to creamed mixture,alternating with milk,beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
6. Combine molasses and baking soda. Add to mixture.
7. Stir in remaining ingredients.
8. Pour batter into prepared loaf pans.
9. Bake for 1 hour or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
10. Cool completely.
