Honey Whole Wheat Bread. That says it right there. It is more than delicious!
Ingredients:
combine in mixer bowl
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk
1 tablespoon salt
2 packages dry yeast
heat in saucepan until warm
3 cups water or potato water
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons oil
pour warm (not hot) liquid over flour mixture
beat with an electric mixer for 3 minutes
stir in
1 additional cup of whole wheat flour
4-4-1/2 unbleaced white flour
knead 5 minutes, using additional white flour if necessary
place in greased bowl turn over, let rise until doubled in bulk
punch down after doubled
divide dough in half
shape into loaf
place into greased 9 x 5 bread pans
cover and let rise 40-45 minutes
bake at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes
Directions:
1. TO KNEAD (My way :)
2. Turn dough onto floured board
3. PUSH and PULL and FLIP sides over and PUSH with palms of hands, working just a little flour into the dough each time
4. Dough will begin to feel less sticky
5. Pick up the dough, and slap it a couple of times, and knead a little more, adding only a LITTLE flour each time
6. Soon, the dough will begin to look stretchy and a little silky and smooth
