My grandmother used to make this recipe. She got it from a ladies cookbook in Lubbock, Texas. My mom made it, and now I make it. It is a family favorite! Ingredients:
2 (14 ounce) cans yellow hominy, drained |
1 cup grated cheddar cheese |
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained |
1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream |
1 small onion, chopped |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except the cheese. 2. Pour into 8 or 9 baking dish. 3. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top. 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until cheese is thoroughly melted and sides of casserole are bubbling. |
