Homemade Refried Beans

Homemade refried beans. They simmer in a crock pot all day..and YUM! Freezes great for future dinners.
Ingredients:
2 small bags pinto beans - rinse and drain well.
1 package taco seasoning - (pick your favorite)
1 t minced garlic
1 small onion diced - small pieces.
3/4 t. black pepper
nacho jalapeno's about 10 slices or so depending on taste.
(or pickled jalapeno slices)
Directions:
1. Set crock pot on high.
2. Put rinsed beans in crock pot. Add boiling water until the beans are coverd about 1 inch.
3. Add taco seasoning mix, pepper and jalapeno's, garlic ad onions.
4. Cook 1 hour on high....check on the water level. Add more water if needed, enough to cover the beans.
5. Cook for 6-7 hours on low..or until tender.....and stir occasionaly.
6. Make sure to check that the water lever is just over the beans.
7. The water will become thicker as beans cook.
8. Add more salt and pepper to taste!
9. You can serve as is...or take some out and mash together with a fork, or even a hand blender.
10. They are so tasty. You can freeze in a tupperware. They keep for a few months..and taste great!
