Crunchy granola that's great for topping yogurt, a quick snack, or as cereal.
Ingredients:
3 cups oats, quick cooking
1/2 cup almonds, roasted unsalted
3 tablespoons flaxseed, whole
1 cup wheat germ, toasted
4 scoops (156 grams) whey protein powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons honey
1 cup water
2 tablespoons raisins
3 tablespoons cranberries, dried
3 tablespoons dates, chopped dried
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except the three dried fruits.
2. Coat a 9x13 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
3. Spread the mixture in the pan and bake for 90 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until it's browned and crunchy.
4. Removw the pan from the oven and let the granola cool completely. Now stir in the raisins, cranberries, and dates.
