Breakfast cereals are so expensive, I wanted to see if I could make my own. This is a variation of a recipe I found in a book called More-with-less Cookbook . I've made granola before but this recipe is a little different. I haven't decided yet if I love it - just posting it here to check on the nutritional information.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup unsweetened flaked coconut
1 cup quick oats
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
2 tablespoons pepitas
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients well. Spread on a baking sheet and toast in 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned.
