Homemade Almond Bark!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. In 2 quart heavy saucepan,Combine sugar, milk, corn syrup, and salt.
  2. Cook,stirring constantly until sugar dissolves& mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Cook without stirring to soft ball stage (234).
  4. Remove from heat& add butter, do not stir.
  5. Let cool til lukewarm,& add vanilla.
  6. Beat until mixture thickens& spread is creamy.
  7. Add the toasted almonds.
  8. Spread about 1/2 inch thick on wax paper lined baking sheet.
  9. Let cool before break into pieces.
