This recipe was passed to me as an idea for our church cooking class.
Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
2/3 cup cream cheese, softened
8 slices thinly sliced deli ham, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup packaged spinach leaves, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.
2. Separate dough from each can into four rectangles on cutting board. Press seams to seal (8 rectangles).
3. Cream together remaining ingredients until smooth.
4. Spread 1/8 of the mixture on each rectangle.
5. Starting at the short side, roll up each rectangle, punch edges to seal.
6. Cut each roll into four slices for a total of 32 slices.
7. Arrange 11 slices in a slightly overlapping circular pattern, leaving a 5-inch diameter opening in the center of the baking sheet.
8. Arrange remaining slices outside the first ring, slightly overlapping each other, but not touching the first ring. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 16 (appetizer size).
